It was such a treat to appear on WTOC’s Morning Break with host Tim Guidera alongside Alli Caldwell of the Tybee Island Marine Science Center. We joined the show to share a preview of An Evening with the Dolphin Whisperers: Flipper Facts and Field Notes—a special sold-out event celebrating the dolphins that grace the waters just off Tybee’s coast.
Alli spoke about TIMSC’s mission to connect the public with our local marine ecosystems, and I had the chance to talk about my ongoing work documenting the lives of these charismatic animals through film. We touched on what makes our coastal dolphins so unique, why they matter, and how science, education, and storytelling can work together to protect them.
It was a fun and thoughtful conversation—and a wonderful way to invite the broader Savannah community into the magic of the coast. Huge thanks to Tim and the WTOC team for the warm welcome, and to Alli for being such a fantastic partner in this work. If you missed us live, stay tuned—there’s more dolphin storytelling to come!
