Currents of Survival

Myths, Monsters, and the Fight for a Living River

I’m excited to share a glimpse of my upcoming documentary, Currents of Survival, which follows the intertwined lives of conservationists, fishers, and river-dependent communities working to protect the Karnali River system in Nepal. This stunning Himalayan river—home to endangered species like the Ganges river dolphin—is not only a lifeline for wildlife, but also for the cultural and spiritual identities of the people who depend on its flow.

As director and producer, I’m leading the creative vision for Currents of Survival, working with an incredible team to bring this story to life. My role focuses on shaping the narrative, guiding the production, and ensuring that local voices and perspectives are at the heart of the film. This project is about more than just conservation—it’s about resilience, coexistence, and the power of communities fighting for the future of their river. Stay tuned as we embark on this journey!
